We turn local challenges into digital possibilities.
Software, platforms and tools that improve lives—proven in Namibia, built to scale across Africa.

Founded in 2016 by Joas Tjipee Kauuova, Ongoro Enterprise began by exploring investment opportunities in oil and gas.
After a largely dormant period, we revived the company in 2024 with a clear focus: developing software and technology that improves people’s lives.
Today, we are building a portfolio of digital products with one shared philosophy: prove it in Namibia, then scale across Africa.
An education platform connecting learners with tutors and digital learning tools. Discover tutors, book lessons and learn together through live online classrooms.
A digital procurement platform for public institutions and businesses, from initial requirements to supplier and contract verification. Development is guided by Namibian procurement requirements.
Planned integrations with NamRA, the Social Security Commission and other institutions are not yet established.
An initiative to digitise bail administration, payment tracking and settlement. Designed for the institutions managing bail and the people who need to settle it.
A health technology initiative focused on Namibia’s health system. Further details will be shared as development progresses.
Developing tools to improve service delivery for defence, police and other relevant public safety organisations. Capabilities will be announced as development progresses.
Tootaa is Ongoro’s first planned education platform, developed around a practical challenge: helping learners find the right support and making it easier for tutors to reach the people who need them. It brings tutor discovery, lesson booking and live online learning into one connected experience, reducing the effort of arranging learning across separate channels. Starting with Namibia, the opportunity is to make access to tutoring more convenient while giving educators a wider platform for their skills. Tootaa is being built to support this connection through useful digital tools, with a planned launch on 3 February 2027 and the ambition to grow across Africa.
ePro is an electronic procurement platform being developed for government bodies, public institutions and private businesses. Its purpose is to bring a fragmented process—from planning and sourcing to supplier verification and contract management—into one coordinated digital workflow. The opportunity is to reduce repetitive administration, improve visibility and make procurement records easier to follow from start to finish. Development is intended to align with Namibia’s procurement requirements, with proposed connections to institutions such as NamRA and the Social Security Commission to support verification. Those integrations remain planned; the ambition is a practical platform that helps organisations manage procurement with greater clarity and accountability.
BailSho is a planned platform focused on simplifying bail administration and payment management in Namibia. The project addresses the need for a clearer connection between bail records, payment tracking and the people and institutions involved in the process. It is intended to help legal-system users manage bail information digitally and give people who need to settle bail a more straightforward way to follow and manage their payments. The opportunity is to reduce administrative friction and improve the visibility of payment status throughout the process. The brief is still being finalised, and the detailed workflows and payment arrangements will be defined as development progresses.
Genesis is Ongoro’s health technology initiative, focused on the Namibian health system. It reflects our ambition to develop useful digital tools for sectors where better information and more effective processes can make a meaningful difference to people’s lives. The opportunity is to understand the practical needs of health-system users and explore how locally developed software could support better service delivery. The project remains at an early stage, and its detailed scope is not yet public. We will share its specific problem areas, intended users and proposed solutions as the brief develops and information is ready for release.
Oryx is Ongoro’s defence and public-safety technology brand, being developed with a focus on the service-delivery needs of defence, police and other relevant organisations. The initiative explores how purpose-built software and digital tools could help these institutions manage their work and deliver services more effectively. Its opportunity lies in understanding local operational and administrative needs and developing technology suited to that context, starting in Namibia. Specific capabilities and product designs are still to be defined and announced. Oryx forms part of our longer-term portfolio of practical technology solutions, with development guided by the needs of the organisations it aims to serve.
